The role requires the successful candidate to ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the Nursery, particularly within the age range of children in the room. Currently this will be working with the 2-3 years, although roles may rotate over time to other age groups. You will prepare children’s records and liaise with parents on reviews, together with ensuring staff members are supported and duties are delegated fairly.
You will require level 2 English and Maths, a Level 3 childcare qualification and experience of supervising a team. You must also have suitable experience of working with under twos. Ideally you would have completed training on working with babies. A current first aid certificate and basic food hygiene certificate and child protection training would be an advantage but if not training will need to be undertaken.
