Empowering Growth: Katie McAllister’s Doctorate Reflects Inspire Education Group’s Vision

Inspire Education Group (IEG) proudly announces the recent completion of Katie McAllister’s doctorate with the Open University. As the Higher Education (HE) Manager for Business & Education at University Centre Peterborough (UCP), Katie’s doctoral research focused on the internal considerations for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) when forming alliances with Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), reflecting her dedication to advancing partnership potentials for UCP and the higher education sector.

Katie McAllister shared her thoughts on the support provided by IEG for staff professional development, stating, “Inspire Education Group’s commitment to staff development includes financial assistance for tuition and other associated costs. This significantly reduces financial barriers and allows staff members to pursue advanced degrees.”

Her doctoral research holds significant promise for both UCP and the broader educational community within Inspire Education Group. Katie remarked, “My research holds significant value for both the University Centre and the broader Inspire Education Group. It can be used to inform internal best practices for fostering partnerships across the group’s institutions, strengthening our practices within the institution.”

Inspire Education Group is known for fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth among its staff members. Katie highlighted, “IEG actively fosters a culture of continuous learning and growth. This is evident in practices like encouraging conference attendance, offering leadership development programmes, and providing funding for studies. This environment motivates staff members to pursue advanced qualifications and develop their expertise.”

Furthermore, IEG offers ample opportunities for staff to apply their advanced degrees and research findings within their roles. Katie emphasised, “Inspire Education Group recognises the value of applying advanced degrees and research findings in staff roles. This can be seen in opportunities to lead new initiatives based on research, encouraging staff to present findings at conferences. This approach allows staff to contribute meaningfully to the group’s success.”

Katie McAllister’s achievement exemplifies Inspire Education Group’s commitment to supporting staff development and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. Her research is poised to make a significant impact on University Centre Peterborough and Inspire Education Group’s educational practices, driving forward collaboration and advancement within the institution and beyond.

Our vision is to be the first choice provider of education and training in our region, and at IEG we have a clear purpose to transform lives through inspirational education and training.
